The Korean Education Center in Malaysia would like to invite all Malaysians who are eligible to join the 19th Korean Speech Contest. Special for this year, we are opening two categories, Junior Division(secondary school students) and Adults Division(18 years old and more). Please look at the details below for more~

   □ Venue: Kinabalu Auditorium, Menara Hap Seng, Jalan P. Ramlee, KL

   □ Date:

• Final Round: 8 June 2024 (Saturday, 14:00 - 17:00 p.m.)

• Submission deadline: 3 May 2024

• Interview: 20 May (Mon) ~ 28 May 2024 (Tue)

   □ Eligibility(지원자격):

1. The contest is open to Malaysians whose mother tongue (or first language) is not Korean.

※Malaysia who working or living outside Malaysia is not eligible to apply for the contest.

2. The following persons are not eligible to participate in the contest:

1. Have lived or studied in Korea for more than six (6) months; and/or

2. Grand or First Prize winners of any Korean speech contests held in 2022 or 2023; and/or

3. Winner, 2nd or 3rd place in Korean speech Contest in Malaysia held in the previous year; and/or 

4. Have participated in any similar Korean speech contest held in Malaysia for the year 2024.

   □ Topics(주제):

1. 한국 친구에게 소개하고 싶은 말레이시아 음식 The Malaysian Food that I want to introduce to my Korean friends

2. 한국어를 배우기 전과 후에 나의 모습 Me before and after learning Korean

3. 겨울에 한국으로 간다면… If I go to Korea in Winter

※Please choose one topic to be submitted during the application.

   □ How to apply(지원방법):

   □ Evaluation(평가):

a) Speeches shall not exceed five (5) minutes and shall be made extemporaneously.

b) Evaluation Criteria:

(i) Content and organization (ii) Pronunciation and fluency

(iii) Grammar and vocabulary   (iv) Stage presentation

   □ Prizes(상) (12 Winners):
