The Korean Education Center in Malaysia would like to invite all Malaysians who are eligible to join the 18th Korean Speech Contest. Special for this year, we are opening two categories, Junior Division(secondary school students) and Adults Division(18 years old and more). Please look at the details below for more~

   □ Venue: Kinabalu Auditorium, Menara Hap Seng, Jalan P. Ramlee, KL

   □ Date:

Final Round: 19 August 2023 (Saturday, 14:00 ~ 17:00 p.m.)

Submission deadline: 20 July 2023

Interview: 31 July (Mon) ~ 8 August 2023 (Tue)

   □ Eligibility(지원자격):

The contest is open to only Malaysians whose mother tongue (or first language) is not Korean.

The following persons are not eligible to participate in the contest:

Have lived or studied in Korea for more than six (6) months; and/or

Grand or First Prize winners of similar contests held in 2021 or 2022; and/or

Have participated in any similar Korean speech contest held in Malaysia for the year 2023.

   □ Topics(주제):

The beauty of my hometown.

My own K-wave(Hallyu)...

The healing destination I want to go to.

   □ Evaluation(평가):

a) Speeches shall not exceed five (5) minutes and shall be made extemporaneously.

b) Evaluation Criteria:

(i) Content and organisation     (ii) Pronunciation and fluency

(iii) Grammar and vocabulary   (iv) Stage presentation
