The 2026 Global Korea Scholarship for Undergraduate Degrees

The 2026 Global Korea Scholarship for Undergraduate Degrees (GKS-U)

It will soon be open for application.

1. Selection schedule:

   □ Application Period: Monday, 15th September 09:00 ~ Tuesday, 30 September 2025  17:00 apply through the ‘Study in Korea’ website (www.studyinkorea.go.kr)

   * Starting from September 2025, the GKS application will only be accepted via online application.  

   * Please follow the instructions given in the application guidelines and website.

   □ Result of document screening: 10th October 2025 (TBC)

   □ Interview: 13th ~ 15th October 2025 (TBC)

   □ Result of 1st round: 17th October 2025

   □ Selection of 2nd round (NIIED): Late November (TBC)

   □ Selection of 3rd round (Respective Universities): by 26th December 2025 (TBC)

※It is each applicant’s responsibility to check important notices posted on the “Study in Korea” website.

2. Quota for Malaysia under Embassy track: 

• Bachelor's degree program (General): 1

• R-GKS:  1

3. Notes for applicants:

   □ Please select as below during the application through the website:

 Degree Program to Apply: Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate Degree

4. Documentation requirements:

   □ Refer to The GKS-U Documentation Requirement Guideline for the 1st round of selection - Embassy track-MY

   □ Number of documents to be submitted: One(1) set of notarized/consular-confirmed and one(1) set of photocopy documents

Applicants will need to submit their application documents to the Korean Education Center in Malaysia within the online application period

   □ Put the document in an envelope and label the envelope to:

   □ Things to note during submission:

- All documents must be submitted in English or Korean. The translated document should be accompanied by its original.

※ The certificate should be translated even if the documents are bilingual (Malay and English) 

- Application documents must be submitted in the order of the “Application Checklist,” which itself should be the front cover of each set of application documents.

- Please number and label each document as shown below. Do not use sticky notes!

-  The documents MUST not be separated by a stapler or paper clip. Binder clips are allowed.

※ Number and label each document can be done by handwriting, typing, gluing, or labeling stickers.
